Waxing while pregnant?
Pregnancy a lovely time in our life’s-exciting, scary, & physically uncomfortable for most. The pros at the end of the tunnel outweighs all of the cons and soon after we have our precious new bundle in our arms we often forget about all the trauma & the last nine months we spent with that baby sitting on our bladder and the hair growing from places we never thought we could grow hair.
Everyone talks about how your body changes and how your hair becomes more lustrous & shiny, what they don’t tell you is when they say hair, they mean hair everywhere on your body! For some of us we turn into a wooly mammoth ourselves, and lets be honest you hit a certain point in your pregnancy where you wont even be seeing down under; much less “taking care” of it if you know what I mean! So waxing becomes a real thought & interest.
Well we are here to announce that we are now offering full body hair removal in our studios with our medically certified aesthetician! This includes extended bikini & brazillians! All of our wax is safe for any pregnant & breast feedings mamas! Although it nice to think of other peole in our lives (**cough cough**hubbies) please remember when you are doing any of your waxing services that you need to be doing this for you! Your body your choice! ( Not for your doctors believe me they have seen a million vaginas-they don’t care if you have hair on yours!)
Commonly asked FAQS:
Can I get a wax while on my period?
Yes, we will wax you. Please ensure you have a fresh tampon in & if you are not pregnant please feel free to take a Tylenol or Advil 20 minutes prior as you may be a bit more sensitive. We will always give you a few moments before we start to “freshen up.”
Can I use a numbing cream?
We would rather you didn’t. Numbing creams can interfere with the way wax adheres to your hair.
Will it hurt?
For those of you having this done for the first time, I would say “probably.” The courser your hair, the more sensitive your skin may be after. We suggest wearing nothing to tight & not doing any strenuous exercising for 24 hours after your session. The best way to ease a sore sensation would be to use a cool compact 20 minutes after your session. You will notice your first time will be the worst.
How long will a Brazilian last?
Everyone person is different. Hair grows at different rates depending on the cultural background and the person, also shaved hair does not grow back in one cycle. Shaved hair will most likely appear a few days after the first wax if you haven’t waited long enough to be waxed. Your waxer will ensure that you get on a good schedule & after a few sessions you will notice your hair is coming back in slower.
If anyone has more questions about Brazilians, or waxing in general please feel free to give the salon a call and we will answer all of your questions for you!
